QBee Day and Some New Projects

It's a terrific time of year to travel down to Plainfield for QBee Day at Miss Carol's studio.  The leaves were starting to turn and the sky was bright blue.  We had a "show and tell" along with new projects and fun surprises.

Dover Quilt Show

Mama Barb picked up her flower quilt to enter into the Dover Quilt Show coming up at the end of the month.  The quilting, done by Miss Carol of Sweet Peas and Possum, looks fabulous!

It took a year to collect the perfect floral material for this quilt.  It is stunning!

Seamingly Scrappy by Rebecca Silbaugh

I found this lovely little book at the Streetsboro Quilt Show and took it with me to share on QBee day.  Miss Carol fell in love with this pattern "Snow in June":
. . . and what do you know!  She already had the nine patches made up in her stash.  Oh, happy day for sewing!

I found this quick and easy pattern called "Tiny Bits.  I'm planning that for a future baby quilt and already have the material for that too.  Yea!
We had a great day sewing and sharing.  Here a few more pictures from our QBee Day in October.
QBee Bridget is designing a surprise quilt for a good friend.  It's coming along nicely!

Barb finished this quilt for a friend.
I finished a Grinch quilt top for Christmas.  I'm keeping this one.  How do you like the cemetery as the back drop?  It would probably be better for a Halloween quilt, but hey, It was all I had.
Miss Carol's new project.  Sew fun!
It was so nice to see Barb and Gina today!  They stopped in after work.
Gina got a new Bernina!  We were all ewwing and ahhing over that!
Another QBee day has come and gone.  Blogging about it gives me the chance to share and remember the good memories.  Happy quilting!
