My number one quilting goal was to attend a class with Bonnie Hunter of
Quiltville Blog fame, but if that didn't work, the next best thing was to see a trunk show with Bonnie Hunter and meet her in person. Bonnie specializes in scrappy quilts and of course I had to have her newest book,
Addicted to Scraps. The quilts in the book are amazing and I can't wait to try out her "Scrap User's System." I need all the help I can get organizing my scraps. Her trunk show was everything that I expected and more. She shared quilting tips, fun stories and many beautiful quilts.
Meeting Bonnie was an experience I will always remember. She is so caring and inspiring. I shared a copy of my book,
20 Jobs: A Memoir with Bonnie and she graciously suggested we get a picture together with our books. I'm still smiling!
I want to thank the lovely ladies of the
Osnaburg Quilt and Fiber Art Guild for sponsoring this spring tea, "Who Gives a Scrap" and giving me this opportunity of a lifetime - meeting Bonnie.
