"Once upon a time and a very good time it was there was a moocow coming down along the road and this moocow that was coming down along the road met a nicens little boy named baby tuckoo." ~ James Joyce "first line" from

Jen and Barb AKA the Cow Whisperers |
On Saturday, National Quilting Day, we had a special QBee day at Barb's lovely new home down on the farm, so to speak. She lives near Newcomerstown, Ohio and invited us to spend the day quilting at her home. And so we
invaded came with bags and sewing machines. We had a great time starting off with a show and tell:
Dana's exquisite quilt - NICE |
My Block of the Month quilt - finally |
Jen's first quilt complete with her own quilting and binding. We are so proud of our newest quilter. |
Barb's favorite wall hanging - for now. |
Barb's snipped baby strip quilt. So cute! |
Barb's Alaskan Wildflower Quilt - My favorite! |
Alaskan Floral Quilt
The flora quilt above is made from a kit purchased from The Rushin' Taylor's Quilt Alaska Shop in Skaguay, (Skagway), Alaska. We had the pleasure of finding and visiting this shop last September when we visited Alaska. It's a wonderful place!
Our gracious hostess, Little Barb, hid behind her latest lovely quilt. So springy! |

Barb's house had the perfect place for a little quilt show
The quilting day went all too quickly as usual. Little Barb made us a lovely lunch of sloppy joes and homemade vegetable soup. Yes, the meat was from their own cows. Delicious!
Gina and Little Barb, above show that you can eat, sew and watch a local basketball game at the same time. Isn't that perfect?
"We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over." – Ray Bradbury
Look what fun you all had! Such beautiful quilts! Dillydallying with friends is the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, Mrs. DillyDally. We count you as one of our QBees and were hoping that you would notice the Alaskan flower quilt. When we get together, we always talk about your latest blog projects and adventures.
